Josh's Story:
Personal Experience meets Professional Impact.
Josh's journey into public health and wellbeing began at home, where he helped his single mum raise his siblings, including his younger brother with Autism. This personal experience instilled a deep empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by families in similar situations.
After studying Psychology, Josh quickly built a career in acute mental health settings, gaining valuable experience in crisis management. Further studies in Counselling allowed him to support homeless individuals and their families, where he developed a compassionate, hands-on approach to care.
Josh’s commitment to making a difference led him to intensive therapeutic care for young people in child protection with significant disabilities. These experiences highlighted the flaws in the profit-driven support systems and motivated him to create Lifeheart.
At Lifeheart, Josh is dedicated to building a small yet growing organization that prioritizes quality staffing and strong foundations. Supported by his fiance Karen, Lifeheart's vision is to be an adaptive, dynamic support structure that truly meets the needs of individuals and families, steering away from the impersonal, profit-focused models of the past.
